Our class will cover five key topics using an 80/20 approach:
Lines & Shapes: Learn to see like an artist and construct your drawings.
Value & Form: Gain a solid understanding of value and how to depict form.
Color & Light: Master seeing, understanding, and intuitively using color.
Portraits: Discover a simplified method for drawing faces and hands.
Depth & Composition: Get an overview of perspective and how to integrate it into your work.
The course is centered around the Drawing Explorer hero illustration, which integrates the skills taught in each lesson into a comprehensive Class Project.
This course is not just about replicating what you see or drawing with realism—although you will acquire that skill by completing the course. Instead, the focus is on comprehending the artist's toolkit to practice and articulate your unique creative vision.
Materials: Suitable for digital and traditional artists alike, the class includes demonstrations using Procreate, colored pencils, and acryla gouache.
